:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Ron Morse -- Such a great adventure - and very heart warming : I am so thankful that Steve was able document his C2C adventure with his son in a way that truly inspired, warmed the heart, entertained and actually created a step by step guide others who might attempt the C2C will find useful! It was a fast read and yet it did not lack in detail. I enjoyed the book immensely and could really visualize the adventure. Thanks for sharing Steve! - 5.0 out of 5 stars from C. Sands -- Quick, inspirational read : You will fall in love with Steve, Gabriel and all of the interesting people they meet on this adventure. This is a great idea for a "Coming of Age" experience for a child with his/her parent but it will also inspire you to think of other, everyday, ways you can deepen your relationship with your young adult child and also share valuable lifetime lessons. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Matt Tamms -- Inspiring account of father-son bonding and rite of passage : The tale of Steve and Gabriel's UK Coast to Coast trek is much more than simply a recount of their journey. It's a tale of one individual's vision in setting a parental goal many years into the future; his courage and persistence in following through on that vision, and ultimately his character, which so clearly shines through. It's an unspoken clarion call to all parents and parents to be. As the reader journeys along, one can not help but be inspired. ( Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2014 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Paul D. Ellis -- An extraordinary journey by ordinary men : Our Coast to Coast Adventure tells the story of how a newspaper article inspired a father-son walk across the top of England. The walk is epic (they crossed an entire country!) and yet it’s not (comfy B&Bs awaited them each night). It’s the juxtaposition of comfort and endurance that makes this book so appealing. The warmth of the company of his son Gabriel shines through and inspires the reader to follow in their footsteps to also make this wonderful coast to coast trek.
